2022/2023 Pavement Rehabilitation Project Map

The 2022/2023 Pavement Rehabilitation Project included base repairs, milling, cold-in-place recycling, hot mix asphalt overlay, and rubberized hot mix asphalt overlay.  Work also included construction of curb ramps, repairing and replacing select driveways, sidewalks, and curb and gutter, placing traffic loops, and striping of travel lanes, bike lanes, and other pavement markings.

Pavement Rehabilitation Streets:

• Howe Road from Vista Way to Pacheco Boulevard
• Old Orchard Road from Howe Road to Arnold Drive
• Arnold Drive from Old Orchard Road to 600 feet west of Shadowfalls Drive
• Arnold Drive from Morello Avenue to 370 feet east of Milano Way
• Williamson Court

The 2022/2023 Pavement Rehabilitation Project was funded by a grant from CalRecycle.  This project diverted 19,179 California waste tires from the waste stream.

The 2022/2023 Pavement Rehabilitation Project is possible due to Measure D, the Martinez Road Improvement and Maintenance Measure.  Measure D is a one-half percent (0.50%) transactions and use (sales) tax, passed in 2016, which provides funding exclusively for Martinez road improvement and maintenance needs.

In 2022, Center Avenue from Glacier Drive to Begonia Court was repaved by milling existing 3-inches of pavement and overlaying with 3-inches of hot mix asphalt.
