How to File a Claim

The City Clerk's Office is responsible for overseeing the resolution and settlement of claims filed against or on behalf of the City of Martinez. After a claim is received, the staff will investigate the claim and determine if the City is liable under applicable law and may extend an offer to settle or negotiate the claim based on the results of the investigation.
