The Zoning Administrator is a staff member appointed by the City Manager. Generally, either the Community and Economic Development Director or the Planning Manager serve as the Zoning Administrator.

 The Zoning Administrator may act upon the following applications: 

  • Conditional Use Permits
  • Design Review
  • Sign Permits
  • Variances
  • Other matters specifically assigned by ordinance, order, or referred by the City Council or Planning Commission.

 The Zoning Administrator may render a decision on a request or may refer the matter to the Planning Commission. The Zoning Administrator shall not act upon any proposal or request for which an Environmental Impact Report is required.

Meetings

The Zoning Administrator meets on an as-needed basis, generally on Thursdays at 4:00 p.m. via Zoom.
